Anyone who properly cares for their vehicle is often annoyed by brown and greasy tire sidewalls that appear after using cheap tire shine spray. These solvent-based sprays dry out the rubber from the inside and wash off immediately with the first rain. Japanese car care relies on a much more sustainable approach. Instead of repeatedly spraying on liquid silicone, the rubber is first thoroughly cleaned of old layers and dirt with a harsh cleaner. Then, a solid tire wax or a SiO2 ceramic sealant is applied, which bonds directly with the material at a molecular level.
