Prehistoric Underwater Pompeii | Pristine Trilobite Fossils Reveal Unseen Anatomy
Trilobites are some of the most common fossils throughout all Paleozoic rocks. They lasted for nearly 270 million years, producing 22,000 known species. They were extremely successful members of the Arthropod group, with some collections of their fossils making up the majority of clasts within a rock – biology that becomes geology. With so many of them known from so much of earth’s history, one could be excused for thinking that scientists know all there is to know about them. Yet, groundbreaking things are still being published about these commonplace creepy crawlies, one such discovery finally puts a giant nail in the big fat coffin that is the mystery of what the guts and mouthparts of Trilobites looked like. __________________________________________________________________ Art in Thumbnail belongs to - Julia d'Oliveira __________________________________________________________________ ✅ PATREON ✅ / edgescience ✅ STICKERS & SHIRTS ✅ https://www.redbubble.com/people/Pain... ✅Facebook: facebook.com/ExpeditionDG/ ✅Twitter: twitter.com/NatSciChannel ✅Instagram: @edgeonthetrail ✅ MUSIC ✅ “Animal Planet’s The Most Extreme - Intro Theme” - PastEonsProductions “Alien Planet Suite” “Tuzoia - Music for Cambrian Animals” - Camiidae “Nectocaris - Music for Cambrian Animals” - Camiidae “Trilobite - Music for Cambrian Animals” - Camiidae “Sidneyia - Music for Cambrian Animals” - Camiidae “Anomalocaris - Music for Cambrian Animals” - Camiidae __________________________________________________________________ If I've used something on my video that you don't want me to use, PLEASE EMAIL ME first before flagging a video, I'm very reasonable and will take the video down to replace whatever image or video belongs to you.
