The Story of Fenist
Igor Fokin, Master Puppeteer, came to Boston, MA from Russia in 1994 and became famous performing regularly in Harvard Square. His puppets became the main attraction - people were coming to see him and his "Wooden Horse Theatre" from everywhere. He died from heart failure on the stairs of his house at 36 - his third child was just born. A statue of Igor's famous puppet Doo-Doo was unveiled in 2001 at Harvard Square and is dedicated to all street performers. Igor is still remembered by those who have seen his theatre.
