Sleepy LaBeef (Thomas Paulsley LaBeff 1935–2019) recorded in Jackson TN on 8.4.2006 Sleepy LaBeef was a rockabilly musician who performed worldwide with Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Kenny Rogers, and Glenn Campbell. Called the Human Jukebox, Sleepy is said to have been able to play 6,000 songs. Raised on a watermelon farm in Union County, Arkansas, He got the nickname “Sleepy” because of his heavy eyelids that made him look half awake.
