Today, we got an opportunity to explore the former Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Highland Park Michigan which has been abandoned for quite some time now. Detroit Osteopathic Hospital was founded in 1919 on the corner of Highland and 3rd Streets. Though the hospital was profitable in 1990, it lost money through 1991 and again in 1992. Detroit Osteopathic Hospital closed its doors on December 18th, 1992. Though the school opened with some promise, parent feedback of the school was mostly negative, and BEST Academy closed in the summer of 2012.
