El VERDADERO problema de Pokémon NO es Game Freak... pero...

I feel DISAPPOINTED with Pokémon... Recently, a game called "Beast of Reincarnation" was released to the public, an indie offering that surprised everyone with its graphics, setting, and character design, all on a budget clearly lower than that of a multi-million-dollar IP like Pokémon. And yet... it looks incredible. So I asked myself a question that you've probably asked yourself too: How is it possible that Pokémon looks so bad on the Nintendo Switch, while other studios with fewer resources achieve graphical and technical wonders? In this video, I directly analyze and compare the current state of Pokémon video games on the Nintendo Switch with other contemporary titles. I'm not just talking about Beast of Reincarnation, I also reference games like: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Monster Hunter Rise Indie hits like Hollow Knight, Hades, and Tunic And of course, the result of this comparison doesn't leave Pokémon in a good light. The graphics in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and even Arceus Legends aren't up to par with what the console can offer. And I'm not just talking about graphics. I'm talking about: Constant bugs Low-quality textures Poor animations Late loading times Empty stages Overall poor performance 💼 WHO'S TO BLAME? IS IT JUST GAME FREAK? This is the central point of the video. We often hear phrases like: "It's Game Freak's fault" "Game Freak can't do any better" "Game Freak is incompetent" But the truth is much more complex. In the video, I explain in detail how The Pokémon Company, the entity behind everything related to Pokémon, really works. The Pokémon Company is made up of three key companies: 1. Nintendo 2. Game Freak 3. Creatures Inc. These three companies share ownership of the Pokémon brand and also make joint decisions about development, marketing, release schedules, budgets, and more. Therefore, saying that Game Freak is solely to blame is a mistake. In this video, I explain how Nintendo and Creatures are also responsible for the poor state of the main series' video games. I talk about decisions such as: Releasing games without enough development time Releasing unpolished titles just to meet merchandise or anime deadlines Reusing excessive assets Not investing in expanding teams or hiring external support Releasing remakes without love or respect for the original (like the Sinnoh remakes) 💸 POKÉMON IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL FRANCHISE IN THE WORLD... AND THIS IS WHAT IT GIVES US? Pokémon has generated over $100 billion since its inception. It's bigger than: Marvel Star Wars Harry Potter Hello Kitty Disney as a unified brand And yet, video games seem to be the weakest link in the chain. Nintendo Switch games—which should be the crown jewels—are plagued by questionable decisions, low-quality graphics, and very poor technical performance. How is it possible that the franchise with the most money in the world has video games that seem rushed, soulless, and with no respect for players? --- 📈 SALES ARE STILL HIGH... DESPITE EVERYTHING Here comes one of the saddest but most important moments of the video. Yes, Pokémon sells millions. Games criticized for their poor performance and graphics continue to break records. For example: Pokémon Scarlet and Purple: +20 million copies sold Pokémon Sword and Shield: +25 million Arceus Legends: +15 million Even Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl surpassed 15 million And what does this mean? That for the company, there's no need to change anything. Because fans keep buying. Because we, you and I, say we don't like these games... but we still pre-order them and play them day 1. 👥 WE ARE ALSO PART OF THE PROBLEM Because we complain on social media, make memes, criticize harshly on X, TikTok, and YouTube... but when the new Pokémon Presents arrives and they announce an expansion or a remake, we forget everything. The hype returns. The purchases return. And the cycle repeats. It's not about stopping playing Pokémon. It's about demanding more, valuing our money, and making meaningful noise. Because if we keep rewarding mediocrity, that's exactly what we'll keep getting. --- 🔄 WHAT ABOUT SWITCH 2? WILL EVERYTHING BE IMPROVED ON THE NEXT CONSOLE? Many fans hope that a more powerful console will bring with it much more polished, visually stunning, and technically stable Pokémon games. But I doubt it. Why? Because the console isn't the problem. The problem is the lack of time, investment, and love for development. Without those elements, even if the Switch 2 has similar power to a PS4 or PS5, Pokémon games will continue to be just as mediocre... And you know why? Because The Pokémon Company doesn't want to change its model. Because they know they'll sell just as well.
