Crossing the Ocean Divide: Solo Vancouver Island Road Trip Day 1

This is Day 1 of my first-ever solo road trip across Vancouver Island. Taking the ferry out into the open ocean, I witnessed something I’ve never seen before the literal line where two different colored waters meet and refuse to mix, two-colored water phenomenon. From there, I headed straight into the dark history of the island to explore "Drac’s Castle" the massive, eerie, abandoned concrete ruins of an old coal mine hidden in the woods. Ending the day catching a pump at the hotel gym before the real wilderness exploration begins tomorrow. This is a week-long cinematic journey of capturing the Pacific Northwest like never before.
