Advanced Tune Tuesday - Limerock This week’s #2022advancedplayerschallenge tune is Limerock and boy oh boy, what a journey. When stuff is pretty hard to play, it usually helps if you like it because it makes it easier to settle in and do the work it takes to accomplish it. But I never liked this tune. Still don’t. Seems so, I don’t know, flighty? Whatever the case, this is the tune they assigned this week so we’re playing the tune. I am glad I finally nailed down a couple of the later parts I never really learned back in the day. And now I can say I’ve played Limerock all the way through, which is something I couldn’t say before. I think it’s a Bryant Houston tune and it is considered Texas style which goes to show, I don’t have to like every single tune from a genre I love generally. It’s unseasonably warm here in middle Tennessee and we’re between camps so I’m teaching all the things and seeing lots of movies and it’s all quite nice.
