Dasaita VIVID 10.2" Android Head Unit Receiver Review | For Golf 7 2012-2019
Enjoy my Dasaita VIVID 10.2" Android Head Unit Receiver Review. You can buy this Android head unit and other VIVID models suitable for your vehicle from Dasaita directly → https://bit.ly/vivid10 or from sellers on AliExpress → https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_AZ8tXf. In this video, I look at a fairly new Android head unit for the car from Dasaita. This video covers the right-hand drive VIVID 10 model for the Golf 7 line of vehicles from 2012 to 2019 (SKU: HA5667BH-Vivid-CP-HD). Left and drive models are also available along with a silver and black facia option. Dasaita also creates different screen size displays of the VIVID 10 and several facias for different car makes, from BMW, Kia and Ford, to Skoda, Volkswagen, Honda, and Toyota. If your vehicle isn't listed they do a few floating display sizes with 1-DIN and 2-DIN installs. Buying a VIVID 10 for your system makes sure you get all the necessary CANBUS, harnesses and cables suited for an easy install in your vehicle. I have been meaning to install this in my VW, but I just haven't found the right time to do it. So without delaying my review any further I bring this video to you with the system installed in my demo pod. The system runs Android 10, with a VIVID UI launcher reinstalled. Updates of the launcher can be downloaded to keep the UI bug free and new functionality and features can also be expected also. There are the usual Android 10 suite of Google apps available to you underneath. Once connecting the head unit to a Wi-Fi connection (either through a mobile hotspot, tethered phone or local Wi-Fi using a connected Mi-Fi device) you can head over to the Google Play store and download any available app you can imagine. Apps look gorgeous on the 10.2" IPS capacitive display. The display supports up to five touchpoints, so native Android apps have multi-touch ability that makes using navigation map tiles a breeze. Games will be supported too, but using CarPlay over its built-in Z-Link app will not carry this level of touch input, mostly because CarPlay doesn't support that. The Z-Link app allows both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Carlife is also supported and there are some nice settings features to allow auto-connect when the system has booted up, along with HD enhancement mode, which sharpens the overall look of CarPlay and Android auto, so the visual stream isn't as pixelated on such a huge display. Connecting via a cable to an iPhone or Android launches their respective car platforms very quickly. Wireless is also just as quick to launch, with cold starts coming in at around 30 seconds. A little longer than my own Alpine system, but if you play with the boot options and go with a faster loading launcher, you might be able to shave off a few seconds. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto platforms operate and look great on the VIVID 10 display. The 1280x720P display brings a rich and responsive experience that makes my poorly equipped Alpine look historically old. The built-in DSP with 30 Band EQ controls will certainly make the most out of any connected system, be it stock or bespoke. However, without being connected to my car I couldn't really review this area, but the demo pod pioneer speakers sounded great with loudness, phat and bass levels really doing their part in giving my two pod speakers an added oomph in the audio department...
