Juan Cremades, uno de los supervivientes del INCENDIO de LOS GALLARDOS: "Menos mal que no salí"
When Juan Cremades (Almería, 57 years old) was driving from work to his home, a house scattered across the Almería municipality of Bédar, and first glimpsed the column of smoke rising on the horizon, he figured the danger was far from his property. Upon arriving, he saw that the flames were coming from a mountain ridge to the west, and within minutes he watched as his home was surrounded by the deadliest wildfire in Andalusia. “I grabbed my documents, a toothbrush, and a couple of shirts. I called my animals to get them in the car so we could get out of there, but the fire advanced so fast that it was already at the edge of my property and blocking the only way out,” Cremades recounts. “At that moment I understood that I couldn't get out, and I decided I had to stay in the house.” Subscribe to our channel: / @elpais Visit http://elpais.com More videos from EL PAÍS: youtube.com/@elpais/videos Follow us on Facebook: / elpais Twitter: / el_pais Instagram: / el_pais #fire #fires #wildfire #Almeria #Andalusia #Spain
