Välkommen till en efterlängtad uppdatering av kompileringen om det ikoniska elloket ASEA Rc6! Videorna är filmade runt om i Sverige mellan januari 2023 och juni 2025. Om Rc6-loket SJ Rc6 är idag det enda loket i aktiv trafik hos Statens Järnvägar – och utgör den sista delen i ASEA:s legendariska Rc-serie. Serien började redan 1967 med Rc 1007 och lade grunden för ett robust och pålitligt lok, inte bara i Sverige utan också i flera andra länder världen över. Lok såldes till Österrike (ÖBB klass 1043), Norge (där en modifierad Rc4 blev NSB El 16) och till och med Iran, som fortfarande använder åtta Rc4-enheter. Efter en provperiod i USA under 1976–1977 valdes Rc4 som grundmodell för EMD AEM-7 – ett lok som senare skulle bli en av de mest tillförlitliga i Amtraks historia. Idag har SJ totalt 72 Rc6-lok i drift, medan Vy använder ytterligare 13 lok för nattågen mot norra Sverige. 61 av dessa lok är avbildade i denna kompilering! Njut! --- Welcome to a long-awaited update to the compilation of the iconic ASEA Rc6 locomotive. The videos are filmed across Sweden, in the period between January 2023 and June 2025. The SJ Rc6 is the Swedish Railways' main and only locomotive in traffic, it is the final installment in ASEA's storied Rc-series. This line, which started in 1967 with the Rc 1007, laid the foundation for a solid and reliable engine not only in Sweden, but also in many other countries around the world. Engines were sold to Austria (ÖBB Class 1043), Norway (a modified Rc4 became the NSB El 16), and even Iran (which still operates 8 units of the Rc4). Aftera peroiod of trials in the United Status in 1976-1977, the Rc4 was chosen as the foundational design for the EMD AEM-7, which is regarded as one of the most reliable engines in Amtrak's history. Currently, SJ operates a total of 72 units of the Rc6, with Vy operating another 13 for the night trains to Northern Sweden. 61 of these locomotives are shown in this compilation!
