Winter Bites Back ! Wild Camping in sub-zero conditions in the Nordisk Telemark 2.2LW I head out to the higher places of Lancashire in what started off as a sunny day, but ended up being a sub-zero winter camp, with hail, snow and sleet showers battering the tents along with strong winds. A range of tents and equipment was used here, from budget to higher end - showing that it is possible to enjoy getting outdoors overnight even in bad weather, irrespective of your particular budget. Tents used were the legendary Vango Banshee 200, Nordisk Telemark 2.2LW, MSR Elixir 2 and the Snugpak Scorpion 2. All handled some gusting winter winds together with snow and ice admirably.
