APVA | #AskAnAutistic Webinar (English subtitles)

On 28 April 2026, the Portuguese Association "Autistic Voice" (APVA) hosted the #AskAnAutistic webinar as part of the ACTIVATE project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The session featured Mayne Benedetto and Sara Alegrete, who answered questions from participants and shared their perspectives as autistic people. Throughout the webinar, topics including stereotypes and misinformation about autism, diagnosis, self-advocacy, activism, accessibility, and reasonable adjustments were discussed. The webinar was part of a series of sessions dedicated to promoting self-advocacy, participation, and direct dialogue with autistic people in a respectful and accessible environment.
