Lucy is a competent SUP surfer but has never stepped on a foil before. The conditions were perfect with a 1 foot clean wave coming in over a sand bank.Remember that there are loads of ways to get into SUP foiling and this is not an instructional video. Going behind a boat first would be a good introduction to getting up on a SUP foil. But Lucy very much just wanted to give it a go!
