Jon Pruett "The Unforgiven" Mind Over Mic - Episode 41

On the forty first installment of the Mind Over Mic podcast, fan-favorite Jon Pruett returns to the show for his third appearance. This officially makes him the first three-time guest in Mind Over Mic history. Naturally, we continue another chapter in the ongoing Clint Eastwood movie reference saga. We kick things off by reminiscing about the nostalgic foods of our Southern, white-trash upbringing before getting into Pruett's upcoming hip surgery. I also tell the story of my broken toe and battered feet after jumping off a waterfall like an idiot, complete with a review of the X-ray. From there, we touch on everything from celebrity divorces, meditation, night terrors, and snake musk to the much more important question of what has been going on with Pruett since his recent four-month hiatus from standup comedy. The majority of this conversation is about catching up with Pruett and hearing him honestly talk about the evolving feelings surrounding his time away from comedy. We talk about recognizing the people we love as we chase our dreams, the complicated relationship between pride and self-awareness, and the razor-thin line between believing in yourself and completely deluding yourself. Enjoy! This episode is brought to you by Cascade Draft House, located in Bristol, Tennessee. This show is created, edited, hosted, and produced by Nathaniel Booher.
