Gramps reluctantly agrees to allow his lake to be stocked by the Fish and Game Commission when he is informed that the public has to be allowed to fish. Jeff and Porky are excited because they are foreseeing business opportunities for selling bait. All is well until two enterprising men decide to do their fishing illegally with bait lines, and explosives, causing a problem for Jeff and Porky, as well as Lassie.
