My brake booster is hissing, probably because a seal is broken. Because it's drawing air there, the engine also occasionally runs unevenly (false air/bleed air). A new brake booster costs about €130. So why not repair the old one with an €8-€12 seal? Release tool for the pedal: VW T10006A Plastic clip in the pedal: VW 1J0721169A Brake booster seal: TEDGUM 00748698 Fits Mercedes, Toyota, and Volvo. The VW isn't listed, but it fit. I assume no liability for property damage and/or personal injury caused by the instructions or implementation. No warranty and no liability for damage of any kind caused by these instructions!
