MOROCCAN PANCAKES BAGHRIR - Spongy Semolina Pancakes || Baghrir - Thousand Holes Pancakes In this video, we show you how to make Moroccan Pancakes called Baghrir. Baghrir are Spongy Semolina Pancakes that are also known as the 'Thousand Holes Pancakes'. These Baghrir Pancakes are commonly served with a Honey Butter sauce. The tiny little holes in the Baghrir literally act like a sponge and soak up any sauce or syrup that they are dipped in. To make the Moroccan Baghrir Pancakes, you will need: 1/2 cup warm water 1 tbs yeast 1 tbs sugar 1.5 cups fine semolina 1.5 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 egg 4 cups warm water For the Honey Butter sauce, melt some honey and butter as per your taste. We also added some homemade marmalade which was really delicious. You can also enjoy the Baghrir pancakes with Jam, syrup or even chocolate sauce! The Baghrir (also known as Beghrir) pancakes have a golden and slightly crispy bottom layer, with a light and spongy top layer. Baghrir can be served as a breakfast dish or even for afternoon tea.
