KISAH (SEJARAH) ASAL USUL KABUPATEN BLITAR

At the end of the 13th century, Java was in turmoil. The great Singhasari kingdom, which had once been prosperous under Kertanagara, was on the verge of collapse due to attacks from Jayakatwang, the ruler of Kediri. In the midst of this chaos, a son-in-law of Kertanagara named Raden Wijaya fought hard to save himself and build a new power. However, the challenges did not stop there. From across the ocean, Emperor Kublai Khan of the Yuan Dynasty (Mongol) sent a large fleet to Java, initially to punish Kertanagara who was considered rebellious, but their arrival coincided with internal turmoil in Java.
