D.B. Cooper: The Man, the Money, and the Mystery #DBCooper #hijacking #unsolved

One of the most confounding unsolved mysteries (well, that is redundant) is the bizarre hijacking of Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 205 in 1971 by a man calling himself Dan Cooper (later called D.B. Cooper. Claiming he had a bomb in his bag, he managed to commandeer the plane, get $200,000 and four parachutes brought on board. He released the passengers keeping only the pilot and a few others for hostages. Then, without anyone seeing him do it, he jumped out of the plane. He has never been found, - not him or his body - and none of the parachutes have been found or any of his other paraphernalia. Only a few bundles of the money (worth $5800) were found in the Columbia River riverbank 9 miles downstream of Vancouver, Washington. You can really go down a massive numbers of rabbit holes with this one and come up with a couple dozen suspicious rabbits. But nothing has been proven, and the hijacker is likely dead by now (if he didn't die upon hitting the ground), so the case is closed, at least officially. There are a lot of YouTubes shows on this and a couple of documentaries The best doc is supposed to be "The Mystery of D.B. Cooper" on MAX/HBO and a questionable one on Netflix called "D.B. Cooper: Where Are You?" While I hardly will solve this crime during this video, I will bring my profiling thoughts to who D.B. Cooper might have been and why he committed the crime.
