Case Garden Tractors 446, 448 and 226, Onan B43 & B48 Carbs

The featured carb in this video is the carb used on the B43 and B48 Onan engines used in the 446, and 448 Case tractors. But, much of the knowledge is universal to small engine carburetors. Cleaning your carb will end the hard starts, surging at full throttle and partial choke needed to operate at full speed. Though a clean carb is just part of the link to proper fuel and air mixture. Your fuel lines and fuel filter should be new and SAE rated R6 or R7 from the fuel tank to the carb and from the engine pulse port to the fuel pump pulse port. The intake manifold is a 2 piece manifold and it often develops leaks. To reseal you must remove, and I am the Hemlock Case Guy. I have become highly skilled in these, the greatest garden tractors ever to be made. With that, there is special knowledge needed to keep them operating as intended. I am NOT a dealer, I am not a collector, I buy parts and pay sales tax when I use them. Be careful when buying parts. There are very cheaply made replacement parts for sale everywhere these days. I buy my parts only from parts dealers who are authorized parts dealers. They can sell both Onan parts and they can sell non-Onan parts. But, they know which non-Onan parts are suitable for use.
