Felicia Lock vs. Defender Wall (Magia Exedra PvP)
An immovable object? Of course they are. They're not going to be doing any moving. At all. During the first few months of Exedra's life, raw speed (with the occasional Felicia) was the undisputed meta. In more recent times, the tides have begun to shift, however. I was recently made aware of a new defender meta comp, which uses the compounding A4 defense buffs of multiple defenders to amp up Kirika's barrier reflect damage, and Sayaka's counterattacks. The teams are so beefy that seemingly nothing can put a dent in them, and before you realize it, you've burnt yourself out. I actually lost to this team on my first attempt, but am able to win consistently after replacing Mami with my own Kirika. I haven't really seen these kinds of teams before, so I thought I would share. I've heard that some of these run quadruple defender, but this one had Xmas Rika instead. She gains MP whenever anyone on her team is attacked, so barring a stunlock, she could easily bring the team back to full over and over again. She also cures team ailments on special, so I shudder to think of what might have happened if she had had substantial ailment resistance. While most teams still revolve around Moemura to at least some extent, I think the meta has evolved beyond merely trying to win the speed tie in mirror matches. There is some element of rock-paper-scissors now, with Felicia beating defenders, who beat speed breakers and Oriko nuke, who beat Felicia... sometimes. I have four different Felicia teams right now, and they all perform a little differently. I accidentally fought a speed break team with this version, and won (albeit roughly), so there's some nuance to this. The thing I like about Felicia teams is that their win condition is more absolute than speed break teams. You can still lose even if you break first, but a break + stun is game-set-match. They can't retaliate with specials after escaping the stun since they're still broken, so you can just re-stun them as many times as necessary with no resistance. Most teams fold before the second Felicia special, though, which goes to show how bulky this one was. For anyone who was wondering, I'm not dead, just a bit busy. Other Exedra videos (and the rest of the Kuro series) are still in the works. I was just able to release this one quickly, since PvP is always full auto, and thus doesn't require video splicing. As always, thank you so much for watching. Any likes, comments, and constructive criticisms are greatly appreciated. 0:00 - Team Overviews 0:42 - Get ready to...
