Il metodo Montessori alla scuola dell'infanzia

Free webinar with Andrea Lupi. The Montessori method seeks to provide an environment as rich as possible with developmentally appropriate activities, with an adult demonstrating the use of each educational activity in a simple manner, allowing each child to choose the activity they find most interesting and to engage in it over and over again until they lose focus. In the Montessori environment, there are corners, or centers of interest, or curricularly significant spaces, equipped with a specific family of materials, or a specific class of objects sharing certain characteristics: materials for language development (oral and then written), for the logical-mathematical mind, for fine motor skills, for music, and so on. What was the innovation of the Montessori Method? What are the essential methodological principles? What Montessori activities can be offered in preschool? We discuss this with Andrea Lupi, educationalist, Secretary General of the Montessori Foundation Italy, trainer and supervisor of Montessori-based nursery and preschools, and author of articles and scholarly essays on teaching and the history of pedagogy. He published Il nido con il metodo Montessori (The Montessori Nursery) with Edizioni Erickson.
