I adopted an orchid that was being given away for free online. 🌸 Upon closer inspection, I noticed sunburns on its leaves. Also, right in the center of the orchid, there was still that spongy growing medium that many people overlook. In this video, I show step-by-step: ✅ Why I removed the sponge from the center of the orchid, ✅ How this sponge can damage the roots over time, ✅ Why I didn't perform a full root overhaul during the summer, and ✅ How I carried out a partial maintenance routine by cleaning out old bark and adding fresh orchid potting mix.
