【老犬介護】過酷さを増す排便介助と、シリンジ給餌の試行錯誤。

This is the eighth installment of our record of caring for Azuki, a blind Shiba Inu. From mid-to-late June 2025, as the weather suddenly turned hotter, Azuki began to eat less solid food and her diet shifted to mainly liquid food like Wanwan Calorie. As she continued on a liquid diet, she started having difficulty defecating, and there were days when she passed watery stools repeatedly, making defecation assistance more challenging than ever. This installment is a record of our trial and error in assisting with defecation while she was on a liquid diet, and in trying to feed her soft food little by little with a syringe. The main story includes a scene where we used a cotton swab dipped in petroleum jelly to help her defecate little by little. We didn't know what the right answer was, and every day was a trial and error process.
