Fixing The GR Corolla's Big Handling Problem Part 1

The GR Corolla is an awesome car, but if you’ve pushed it hard on track, you probably already know one of its biggest handling traits: understeer. This is part one of a new series where I start working through how to fix the understeer nature of my GR Corolla and make the car feel more balanced on track. Check out Projectjoymachine.com for GR Corolla performance parts, track-focused upgrades, and parts. GR Corolla Suspension Catalog: https://projectjoymachine.com/collect... I also talk about why the GR Corolla tends to push from the factory, how its rally DNA influences the way it behaves, and why Toyota likely built that safety margin into the car. From there, I go over the mods and setup changes I’m planning to make to help the car rotate better, carry more speed through corners, and get closer to that neutral handling feel. This isn’t about making the GR Corolla something it’s not. It’s about understanding the car, making intentional changes, and improving it for the way I use it. Built for joy. Automotive enjoyment. Follow along as I work through the setup and see what actually makes a difference.
