STEVE VAN DOREN- LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Steve Van Doren - Vans Steve Van Doren, son of Vans co-founder Paul Van Doren, has been a central figure in skateboarding for over five decades, serving as the Vans' "Ambassador of Fun," and VP of Events and Promotions. His early commitment to the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) has resulted in more than 4,000 public skateparks throughout the USA. Steve's enthusiasm also helped create events like the "Vans Pool Party," in addition to the "Vans Warped Tour." Starting in the 1970s, Steve worked with early pro-skateboarders like Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta to develop functional, durable shoes for skateboarders, like the "Era!" The Skateboarding Hall of Fame congratulates Steve, and the entire Vans 'family,' on his achievements, as his influence continues to inspire future generations around the world today.
