Chinese and African leaders are set to chart a course for China-Africa relations. Over the years, cooperation between China and Africa is a beacon for the Global South on common growth and sustainable development. China has been Africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, with trade reaching a record $2.82 billion in 2023. Both have been working on realizing the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs. Among those international dignitaries in Beijing this week is UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
