Fundamentals - Basic Remington and Stretchy Remington
Trying something new here. In full-transparency, my fundamentals have been struggling quite a bit the past couple months, so I'm shifting my focus more towards improving the basics of my playing for the time-being. I'll be sharing more of these fundamentals soon, but here are a couple that I incorporate into my warm-up. These exercises are taken from a packet I received from a former teacher that focus heavily on low-register playing and dexterity. With Basic Remington and Stretchy Remington, the goal is to achieve evenness of sound throughout the low register as well as smooth connection and immediate responses. There are some notes in here that give me more trouble than others, but my goal isn't to share perfect playing, it's to share what my real playing is currently and how I'm working towards improvement. I've added music to the screen, so these videos can be played along with as well. Enjoy!
