This year, for the first time, I was able to harvest honey from my Japanese honeybee box. Our box is 12cm tall with an internal dimension of 24cm, roughly the same volume as those using standard-sized 15cm tall boxes, but the amount this time was slightly less. The combined amount of dripping and squeezed honey was just under 2L. Next spring, we should be able to harvest from two healthy colonies, so I'm sure we'll be able to steadily increase production. I left 10 jars of honey harvested this time for sale at the forest park. They use invoices, so the full amount of consumption tax will be added to the product price.
