El fallo oculto del Cradle BMW: por qué se rompen los pines y cómo evitarlo

⚙️ Many BMW Motorrad owners don't know it, but the cradle (support with charging pins) that comes with most models can fail over time. This can be due to several reasons, but here's the most common. This cradle powers the navigation system, CarPlay, or ConnectedRide, and uses small spring-loaded contacts—the famous pogo pins. When they get dirty or lose voltage, they stop making good contact… and that's when the problems start: navigation blackouts, charging interruptions, connection errors, and pins that literally end up broken. In this video, I show you: ✅ How to detect failed BMW cradle pins before they break ✅ How to properly clean the contacts (without damaging the gold plating) ✅ Which products to use and which to avoid 💡 This tutorial applies to almost all modern BMWs that use cradles with pogo pins: R1250GS/GSA, R1200GS LC, RT, R, F850GS, K1600GT, S1000XR, etc. 🧰 Recommended materials: • Isopropyl alcohol (minimum 70%) or electrical contact cleaner • Cotton swabs or precision brush (a toothbrush also works) • Clean microfiber cloth • Dry dielectric protector or contact spray ⏱️ CHAPTERS: 00:00 Introduction 00:36 The Problem 02:57 What are the cradle's pogo pins? 05:19 How to solve the problem 07:40 Alternative: Power the Cradle 12:29 Conclusions 🌍 RESOURCES: 12-5V converter: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/100500... 🗣️ Has this happened to you?
