Many believe that C-band reception requires antennas with diameters between 1.8 and 3 meters. But is it really impossible to receive something on a standard 1-meter dish? In this review, I: tune the antenna to the Express AM7 40°E satellite; demonstrate the signal search process; test several C-band transponders; demonstrate real-world reception results. The result was very interesting: a stable signal was only received on one frequency, while the other transponders were not detected. Let's explore why this happens, what factors influence C-band reception, and whether it makes sense to experiment with an antenna of this size.
