Please visit our website to learn more & to download study material https://lselectricalclass.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Statement of Superposition theorem: The voltage across (or current through) an element in a linear circuit is the algebraic sum of the voltages across (or current through) that element due to each independent source acting alone. Steps to apply Superposition theorem: 1 1.Select a single source acting alone. Short circuit the other voltage source and open circuit the other current sources. 2.Find the current through or the voltage across the required element using suitable network simplification technique. 3. Repeat the above two steps for all the sources. 4. Add all the individual effects produced by individual sources. Superposition theorem cannot be applied to solve electric circuits with diodes because diode is a non-linear element. Solving using Superposition theorem is easier as only one source is considered at a time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our topics in Circuit theory/ circuit analysis/ electric circuits are ohms law electrical power resistors in series and parallel kirchoff laws source transformation mesh current method nodal method superposition theorem thevenin's theorem Nortons theorem maximum power transfer theorem reciprocity theorem RL series circuit RC series circuit RLC series circuit Star Delta Conversion Resonance Self inductance mutual inductance dot rule tuned circuit RL transient RC transient RLC transient two port network three phase circuit
