The first Insignia wasn't a beauty and was downright intimidating due to its price—at least in our market. The second is the opposite: one of the prettiest faces in its class and a liftback body style, rare in the segment, is offered at a lower price than its main competitors. However, the Insignia outshines many of them in terms of equipment. It also features an 8-speed automatic and a solid, "old-school" diesel engine: not choked at low revs and with a reliable turbocharger, equipped with a cooling system and its own (!) oil filter. Drawbacks? Only three.
