Vintage Fire Bell Restoration

I found this Vintage Bell on eBay and knew it would make a good restoration. A few people have made bell restoration videos and that made me want one for myself. My search began on my favourite site, eBay. For many weeks a searched until I found what I wanted and here we are with my very own bell. For some reason this seemingly simple restoration plagued me with trouble from the beginning up until the last day of restoring it. My biggest fail was when I though I’d reuse the rivets by welding them back. What a silly idea that was. After struggling to weld it I realised they were aluminium. I then proceeded to buy replacement rivets and a used air hammer. My next fail was near the end of the project when I began to powder coat. While applying the black powder my line had way too much moisture even after passing through two filters. The result was a clumpy mess and a lot of wasted powder. Thankfully the red came out much better. Finally after so many stumbling block I finally finished the project and here I am sharing it with you. I hope you enjoy the video.
