How to Fit a Picture Rail

This is how we installed our picture rails in the house. This is the same method you can use for dado and chair rails and also shows the same scribing technique needed of fitting skirting boards and other mouldings. All our walls are solid stone and this fixing method is aimed at solid walls. For stud walls you will need to find the studs and fix the rail in the corresponding position.
