Not many people in Motorsport will come and drive flat out for 3 laps at the end of the day on wrecked tires because you asked him to, but Ben Friend would! Never expected to end up in a rally car through having a mild ability to hold a camera but it has somehow happened. This is a day I'll likely never forget. Big thanks to Connor Taylor and his dad for the invite out here, and to Ben Friend for the ride and just being all round incredibly cool dude! Can't think of many people in Motorsport that would spend more of the day taking friends and family round at speed instead of doing the testing he was probably here for, let alone in the pricey world of Rallying! Top guy and an awesome day. The commitment you have to posses in a car like this, to be this quick, is a feeling you can only gain when being sat inside the thing. It is simply unreal, but somehow makes you feel at home. Perhaps that's just me. You can see why the Ben Friend & Cliffy Simmons duo are so regularly in contention for wins on the BHRC rally rounds they compete in.
