The U.S. trumpeter Roy Hargrove performs together with the WDR BIG BAND under the direction of Michael Abene the music title "Pastor T" by composer Anderson Keith. The arrangement for the WDR BIG BAND was written by Michael Abene. Solos are played by Roy Hargrove (trumpet), and Frank Chastenier (Hammond) and Paul Heller (saxophone). Guest soloist Martin Verdonk plays on percussion. The concert "Hargrove Grooves) was produced for WDR JAZZLINE at the 28th "Leverkusener Jazztage" (2007). A great musician has passed away much too early: On November 2, 2018, GRAMMY Award winner Roy Hargrove passed away much too young. We would like to remember the great time when we produced "Hargrove Grooves" with him in Cologne. R.I.P.
