Vlog 900 The Bankstown Line - End of Sydney Trains Era The Bankstown Line between Sydenham and Bankstown recently closed for Sydney Metro conversion, marking the end of the Sydney Trains era for this part of the line. This line is expected to reopen as a high-frequency Sydney Metro sometime in late 2025. As a tribute to our double deckers traversing this line, this video shows a variety of trains at all the stations which are being converted into a Sydney Metro station, that is from Bankstown to Marrickville inclusive. The trains featured in this video include all the types of trains that ran services on this line over the years and decades, and even includes a V Set and Red Rattler as a bonus.
