I had it completely backwards, I thought, when I came here, If I loved you, you would love me. That is not my experience. I thought if I was honest with you, you would be honest with me. Again, not my experience. If I was respectful of you, that you would be respectful towards me. Not my experience. I sold myself so short. Because you know what. The reward is so much greater than that. The gift is so much greater than that. If I am honest with you, what I become is an honest man. If I am respectful of you I become a respectful man.
