Join me for a Cthulhu: Dark Providence unboxing as we dive into the box of CMON latest "pre-order" boardgame, including Five Exclusie Investigators for Cthulhu Death May Die! In this unboxing and talk-through, I'll show a detailed view of the exclusive investigators, as well as many of the key components from Dark Providence, explain how to play in both multiplayer and solo, and share some of my thoughts following a handful of solo plays. Which faction would you prefer to play, given a choice - Investigator, Cultist or Dissident? For one to five players, Dark Providence is a competitive deck-building game, set during the Great Depression, where players navigate a nation on the brink of collapse. Players are assigned secret roles—Investigators, Cultists, or Dissidents—each with unique scoring objectives and hidden agendas. While Cultists seek to remake the US into a nightmarish wasteland, Investigators fight to preserve it. Meanwhile, the elusive Dissidents act as a third party, scoring points by assassinating agents and sealing gates while avoiding detection.
