ROTO 4 TEST

We're getting really serious with the engine - into the 'monster' class. This is the ROTO Motor horizontal four at 170 cc from the Czech Republic - a well noted high quality manufacturer of many model engines. Certainly a highly desirable addition to your engine accumulation either for large scale models or just to enjoy having such a magnificent piece of engineering. Running on Coolpower Blue oil at 40:1 with 95 RON petrol it gave a superb performance. Using a 30 x 12 wooden propeller I recorded 5,500 maximum and 750 idle RPM. All starting was by hand and the engine will start quite readily at the very low idle RPM. Brian Oily.
