KLEEMANN MOBIREX MR 100 NEO Impact Crusher – Walkaround at CONEXPO | Wirtgen Group
The KLEEMANN MOBIREX MR 100 NEO is the first member of Kleemann’s NEO line of compact impact crushers, designed for high production and simple operation. In this walkaround from CONEXPO, Jason Alexander, Kleemann Technical Sales Manager for Wirtgen America, covers the machine from feeder to discharge. A standout feature on the MR 100 NEO is the automatic gap adjustment with zero point determination. Every time the machine starts up, the apron lowers hydraulically onto the rotor spinning at low RPM. Once contact is made, the system registers a true zero point. The operator then sets the desired gap, and the machine delivers a consistent product size from the first load. On larger Kleemann crushers, this process has to be initiated manually. On the MR 100 NEO, it runs automatically at startup. Opening the crushing chamber for daily maintenance works through the Lock & Turn quick access system. The crew stays at ground level the entire time. Jason Alexander walks through the step-by-step sequence in the video – it comes down to hitting a button, removing the locking wedges, and opening the chamber. Closing is the reverse order. The MR 100 NEO includes a 4.5’ x 10’2" post screening unit. Material that does not pass through the screen travels back via an oversized return conveyor for a second round of crushing. An optional wind sifter is available for applications that require a cleaner final product. As Jason Alexander puts it in the video: you get the crusher and the screening unit in one compact machine. Under the hood sits a John Deere 6090 engine with 268 HP – the first time Kleemann uses this engine in a crusher. Three separate access routes lead to the engine compartment, which makes service work more practical. Around the rest of the machine, small steps provide access to maintenance points like the blowout plate and the screen. The SPECTIVE SWITCH operating system controls the MR 100 NEO. All adjustments run through physical switches. Jason Alexander describes it as operating the machine at the flip of a switch. Depending on configuration, the MR 100 NEO weighs between 64,000 and 83,000 lbs. That keeps the machine within a range where special transport permits are often not required. Operators can drag it between locations on a job site with a lowboy or move it over the road without major logistical planning.
