The Best $100 I've Spent on My Mountain Bike | Custom Tuning My Rear Shock | DVO Topaz 3

I decided to get a custom tune for my MTB rear shock after fiddling with the settings on my own for a few months. It turned out to be money incredibly well spent, and lots of time saved! I sent my DVO Topaz Gen 3 to DVO for an in-house custom tune, but this would apply to any shock and any custom tuning shop. Every full suspension bike has a unique leverage curve, every shock has its own characteristics, and every rider / terrain will have unique inputs. That's a lot of variables, and getting a rear shock custom tuned to your frame, terrain, weight, and riding style can go a really long way. For me and my Salsa Blackthorn, the stock setup of the DVO just wasn't quite right. The result was a rear suspension setup that is both more supple AND more supportive. 00:00 Intro 01:08 Why I Got a Custom Tune 02:34 What is a Custom Tune? 03:56 The Results!
