The main attraction from Arequipa is without a doubt the Colca Canyon. Rather than accepting a very expensive 2 day tour from Arequipa, we decided to do it all ourselves. We stayed in the lovely town of Cabanaconde for 2 nights. Not many tourists make it this far into the Canyon. The views from this town are incredible. We also took a short trip to the Cruz del condor for more amazing views and hopefully get a glimpse of the condors.
