EKSPERYMENTY na ludziach...NAJGORSZE

A history lesson that humanity should remember forever and never repeat. Radioactive oatmeal for children, deliberately infecting them with diseases, injecting cancer cells, experiments on prisoners, psychiatric patients, and people who couldn't consciously say "no." In this episode, we examine several particularly dark chapters in the history of medicine and science. This isn't a ranking, but a story about what happens when research curiosity, money, war, prestige, and the "good of science" begin to matter more than the individual. The material will cover, among other things, the experiments at Holmesburg Prison, the dental caries research at Vipeholm, the case of injecting cancer cells into patients in New York, the Cutler experiments in Guatemala and Tuskegee, malaria research in Stateville, and the story of radioactive oatmeal given to boys at Fernald State School. This isn't a story about medicine being bad. This is a story about why ethics, informed consent, and the protection of the vulnerable are not obstacles to science—only a condition for science not to degenerate into violence.
