Fireforge Games- Medieval Russian Infantry!
Time for some good old fashioned plastic warriors! Literally! Fireforge have put out some nice kits in an area that doesn't have a whole lot of competition, and it's cool to see them continue to focus on areas that so far have been neglected when it comes to gaming scale plastic models. At first I thought this set was pretty similar to the Scandinavian infantry. They do share the mace and sword arm, and by further extension, some of the Scandinavian axes would absolutely work with these guys. The real difference is with the heads, shields, and bows. With these parts you'll have a very unique looking warband, with plenty of parts to build out your group however you wish, and with a few bits here and there you've got a perfect set of Varangian Guard to go with some Fireforge Byzantines while you're at it! Nevermind all the weird stuff you can make too! If you're in the states and want to sample a few bits, you can get individual sprues here! https://mcdougalldesigns3d.com/ Or go straight to the manufacturer! https://fireforge-games.com/
