Introduzione alla chirurgia (Edises-H3)

Introductory video lesson to the surgery course, taught by Dr. Federico Frusone. In this free video course, we will cover the main surgical pathologies, divided by organ, system, or anatomical site. In this introductory video lesson, we will begin to familiarize ourselves with the surgical environment and some basic techniques. The surgeon's "natural habitat" is the operating room, a restricted-access area of the hospital that contains the operating room and all the ancillary rooms. Inside the operating room, the patient is monitored, anesthetized, and, of course, subjected to surgery. The surgery itself consists of a series of surgical techniques and procedures. The main ones are: Dieresis, or tissue separation; Hemostasis, or the set of maneuvers designed to reduce or stop bleeding; Synthesis, or the restoration of the anatomical integrity of previously separated tissues. These surgical procedures require both the presence of dedicated facilities and the availability of appropriate materials and instruments, which vary greatly from one type of procedure to another. In this lesson, taken from the Manual of General Medicine, we will look at some of these instruments and materials. In the next lesson, we will look in more detail at two of the main materials: suture threads and needles. _______________________________________________________________ Soundtrack by Federico Frusone    • Soundtrack of a Twisted Mind   ________________________________________________________________ MANUAL OF GENERAL MEDICINE (FRUSONE - PULIANI) http://www.edises.it/concorsi/manuale...
