Compilation of our vacation in Italy, Part 2

Day three of our vacation. We visited Cividale del Friuli. Unfortunately, not all cultural attractions are open on Mondays, so we walked through the back streets. This led us to the Devil's Bridge*, where one can go down to the water of the Natisone and do a bit of wading. Later, we arrived at the monastery of Santa Maria, which was open, and we visited the museum there. At the end of the afternoon, after walking a lot, we treated ourselves to a delicious iced coffee (we couldn't choose between ice or coffee). *The Devil's Bridge: The name comes from a popular legend that the people of Cividale asked the devil for help to build the bridge. In return, the devil would receive the soul of the first being to cross the bridge. After agreeing, the devil built the bridge in one night, but the residents let a dog (according to other versions, a different animal) cross the bridge the next morning. It is said that sometimes howling or growling can be heard from the riverbed near the bridge.
