Brasside/Finchale ammunition depot by drone.

Ministry of supply ammuntion depot between Brasside and Finchale Abbey, Co Durham. Very little information online about this place. I can remember as a kid in the 60/70s walking past here to go swimming at Finchale and the soldiers would be marching outside the guard house - slope arms. Telling my mother about making the video, she told me her dad worked there! It is owned by Sharon Dixon. It is now part of a County Wildlife Site and is noted for its very high ornithological importance. The area is included in the Durham City Local Plan as a Site of Nature Conservation Importance and Policy E18 aims to safeguard such sites.
